Walking Weekend

  2nd – 4th March 2012, the Glebe Barn and Rectors Stables, Llanbedr, Black Mountains, Wales

 

Our next weekend will be to The Glebe Barn  and Rectors Stables in the village of Llanbedr near Crickhowel, South Wales. Those who have been before will remember the exceptional accommodation, food and location!

We will meet at the hostel on the Friday evening (details to follow). On Saturday there will be a 9 – 10 mile walk in the Black Mountains and then back for a well deserved cup of tea, shower, sauna,  and then drinky! The venue will provide a gourmet dinner Saturday evening and do breakfasts for us. On Sunday we will have a shorter walk allowing us to return home after lunch. Bedding and towels are provided and most of the rooms are en-suite. Accommodation is limited so get your booking in asap.

 

The charge is GBP80.00 per person (GBP87.50 for non-members) and includes: bed and breakfast for two nights, dinner Saturday evening, coffee & tea. Not included: drinks, packed lunch for Saturday, and evening meal Friday.

The weekend is open to members of CARC and friends or partners. CARC is GBP20.00 to join and subscriptions are used for the admin of the club. CARC is a member of the BMC (British Mountaineering Council). Hill walking and mountaineering are activities with a danger of personal injury or death. Members and guests shall be aware of and accept these risks and agree to be responsible for their own actions and involvement. Please refer to CARC website. Boots and mountain walking gear essential. Please bring own packed lunch for Saturday. All participants will receive final details by e-mail.
